Summary of Changes from Previous Version

• Recent changes to the Higher Education Support Act 2003 requires providers to have a Support for
Students Policy in place by 1 January 2024.
• The Support for Students Policy is a proactive and multi-faceted approach that addresses the diverse
needs of students across UOW.
• It outlines the initiatives in place to ensure holistic support is provided to students, through active
monitoring and outreach and through the provision of a range of academic and non-academic supports.
• This policy seeks to foster an inclusive and nurturing environment, promoting student success and
well-being.

Clauses Amended:Policy: All
