Summary of Changes from Previous Version

A requirement for a proposal form to be used to establish a new agreement to ensure due diligence. Ensuring that policy requirements are met, and the proposal is AQF compliant or, in the case of international qualifications, deemed equivalent by recognised sources.
• A requirement that proposed agreements for international arrangements, offshore and onshore be reviewed by GSD and domestic arrangements reviewed by the Outreach and Future Students Division to ensure strategic alignment.
• A new requirement for a compliance check by Admissions and recommendation to the delegated authority where the proposal falls outside of policy requirements and/or AQF equivalency cannot be not formally recognised.
• A new duration for agreements (normally 3 years) and insertion of a requirement to review agreements upon expiry or if the relevant program is significantly changed or where student performance concerns necessitate an earlier review.
• Inclusion of non-formal learning in CTAs provided there is proper assessment of the learning, its delivery and how it is assessed.
• Requirement to use the Legal Services Unit (LSU) Agreement template and to seek advice from LSU where changes to the Terms of the Agreement are sought.

Other policy changes:
• New clause 11 to include information on â€~block credit’.
• New clause 14 to include information on the impact of awarding credit on an international student’s COE and requirement to update PRISMS.
• New clause 16 to include information on the impact of credit on a student’s WAM
• New clause 40. Restrictions for granting credit: included at the HOSTs suggestion to limit the award of credit where the amount of credit is limited by the prescribed structure of a degree. The maximum credit limits at a subject level for each qualification type, are specified in the Course Design Procedures
• Revised clause 42. Application for credit â€" changes to the timeframe for submitting an application where a student has already enrolled in a subject to require submission of the request three weeks before the first week of teaching for the subject.
