Summary of Changes from Previous Version

The updated Authorship Policy features several major changes: new definitions that align with NHMRC guidelines, a position statement on authorship and AI tools, and a set of clear principles, including those related to students. It now explicitly supports both the Authorship Agreement Procedure and the Authorship Dispute Procedure, detailing roles and responsibilities for each. Additionally, responsibilities have been updated for various roles, including the Dean of the Graduate Research School, HDR supervisors, HDR candidates, Heads of School, and the Research Integrity Office. The policy also provides greater clarity on the obligations of supervisors and HDR students and stresses the importance of using authorship agreement forms.
