Incorporation of recent policy and administrative changes.
Removal of existing Special Circumstances and Supporting documents with the inclusion of reference to Compassionate or Compelling Circumstances Guideline for consistency across decision making.
Inclusion of information regarding the new Tax File Number (TFN) Verification process in Section 5 – eligibility for a Commonwealth Supported Place. Language and structure streamlined throughout policy in particular Sections 5 & 6 Domestic Student Fees and Section 7 & 8 International Student Fees. Change of name of Department of Immigration & Border Protection to the Department of Home Affairs. Additional definitions referred to in the policy and rewording of definitions for consistency with other UOW policy and procedure. Clarification of refund process for students seeking to transfer to another provider, course withdrawal or non-commencement of studies.
10 - 7 November 2019 - Vice-Chancellor - Minor amendment to section 5.16 Tuition Fees for Domestic Higher Degree Research Students from 4.5 to 4 years for Doctoral and 2.5 to 2 years for Masters by Research students.
11 - 1 January 2020 - (Approved 9 June 2020) - Vice-Chancellor - Consequential amendments to reflect the rescission of General Course Rules and to align with the new Coursework Rules and Higher Degree Research (HDR) Award Rules.
