(1) This Procedure: (2) Words and phrases used in these procedures and not otherwise defined in this document have the meanings they have in the Brand and Reputation Policy. (3) This Procedure shares the same application and scope as the Brand and Reputation Policy. (4) The UOWnow YouTube channel provides a video platform for UOW to officially showcase its brand, products and services to audiences. (5) The following are considered suitable use of this platform: (6) All videos produced for posting to the UOWnow YouTube channel must be of professional quality. (7) Video content with audio must have volume equalised or levelled to ensure that viewers can hear the entire video without sharp rises or drops in volume. All audio must be high quality and comply with the standards set on the UOW YouTube Content Specifications intranet page. (8) Video used and produced must be high quality and comply with the standards set on the UOW YouTube Content Specifications intranet page. (9) Content produced should be structured and scripted in a professional manner. (10) Video content must correctly use the UOW Brand Identity. (11) All videos must be submitted via the UOW Intranet. (12) Video submissions will only be accepted from staff of UOW and controlled entities (e.g. UOW Pulse or UOW College Australia Staff). Controlled entities are expected to maintain equivalent policies, endorsed by the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Innovation, Enterprise and External Relations) and form appropriate usage of UOW's name and marks by way of agreement, licensing or ongoing alignment with UOW's brand strategy and trademark holdings. (13) All YouTube video submission form fields must be completed prior to the submission and review of the content. Incomplete submissions will not be accepted for review. Each relevant field must contain the following information: (14) Promotion should target the wider UOW community and the general public. Content that is directed only towards small, internal groups may be submitted; however, it will be uploaded as ‘Unlisted’. (15) The use of the UOWnow YouTube channel, like the use of any other UOW resource or activity, is subject to the requirements of legal and ethical behaviour by UOW staff and students. (16) The UOWnow YouTube channel is not intended for personal announcements or for communications that do not support UOW’s strategic objectives. (17) All submissions must: (18) All content must be provided at least two working days prior to the required live date. (19) Content must comply with the specifications outlined in the UOW YouTube intranet page. (20) All video content submitted for the UOWnow YouTube channel must be reviewed and approved by the Brand, Marketing and Communication Division, in accordance with this Procedure. (21) All content submitted must be of a high quality. Video quality will be reviewed based on: (22) Submissions considered suitable will be processed accordingly. (23) The content owner of a video submission that is considered unsuitable will be notified with a request for modification. (24) Responsibility for the accuracy of information presented within content lies with the content approver. If contributed content has errors, lacks required information, or is otherwise inconsistent with this Procedure, it may be refused. (25) It is the responsibility of the video content owner to ensure all elements of their video are not in breach of Copyright (and YouTube copyright rules). Requests to upload content from requestors who repeatedly submit infringing content will be declined. (26) IMTS Service Delivery (IMTS) is responsible for the handling and uploading of video content to YouTube. (27) The Brand, Marketing and Communication Division is responsible for the management and moderation of the UOWnow YouTube Channel. (28) Staff wishing to contribute content to the UOWnow YouTube channel are responsible for familiarising themselves with, and adhering to, this Procedure, the UOW Brand Guidelines, the Brand and Reputation Policy and the Social Media Policy.YouTube Procedure
